Our Programs

Gender Equality

Gender inequality remains a major challenge in Somalia, limiting women’s access to education, leadership, justice, and economic opportunities.

Elimination of SGBV

Sexual and gender-based violence is widespread in Somalia. IADR combines community education, survivor-centered services, and strong advocacy to eliminate SGBV and create safer environments for women and girls.

Education

IADR works to ensure inclusive, accessible, and equitable education—especially for girls— by supporting enrollment, improving school environments, and building teacher capacity.

Inclusive Politics

Women’s political representation remains limited. IADR empowers women to participate in governance, peacebuilding, and political decision-making through training and mentorship.

Health

We promote equitable access to quality healthcare with a focus on women’s physical and mental wellbeing through awareness, capacity-building, and partnerships with health institutions.

Mental Health

IADR prioritizes mental health, providing psychosocial support, breaking stigma, and integrating mental health across all programs.

Access to Justice

We empower women to claim their rights by providing legal awareness, referrals, and advocating for accountable justice systems.

Economic Empowerment

We promote women’s economic independence through entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, and access to microfinance and income-generating opportunities.
